Tree Cover Density Layer for Catania, Palermo, Barcelona and Valencia
收藏资源简介:
The tree cover density layer represents the percentage of tree cover within each pixel of the analyzed area. The map was generated through an automated regression process using satellite imagery acquired between March and October of the reference year. Pixel values range from 0 to 100%, in increments of 1%, with higher values indicating a greater proportion of tree cover within a given pixel. Pixels with tree cover values below 10% were classified as no tree cover (0%). The spatial resolution of the map is 10 metres. Funding The LIFECOOLCITY project, entitled “Use of Remote Sensing for the Management of Blue-Green Infrastructure in the Process of Urban Adaptation to Climate Change”, is implemented under the LIFE Programme, within the call LIFE-2023-SAP-CLIMA-CCA – Climate Change Adaptation, under grant agreement No. 101074553. The project is co-financed by the LIFE Programme and the Polish National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, which jointly cover 95% of the project costs. The project consortium contributes the remaining 5%. The project is scheduled to run from 2023 to 2029.
