We report the high-quality chromosomal genome assembly and annotation of Zhengitettix transpicula, an orthopteran species from the family Tetrigidae. Our analyses reveal this species possesses the smallest known orthopteran genome reported to date at just ~0.96 Gb. This genome is the first known and the current best genome for family Tetrigidae, and shed light into genome evolution of the order orthoptera.

本研究报道了细顶蚱（Zhengitettix transpicula）的高质量染色体水平基因组组装与注释信息，该物种为隶属于蚱科（Tetrigidae）的直翅目（Orthoptera）昆虫。分析结果显示，该物种拥有目前已报道的最小直翅目基因组，其基因组大小仅约0.96 Gb。该基因组是蚱科首个已知且当前最优的基因组组装结果，可为直翅目基因组演化研究提供重要参考。
