This dataset contains information on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) measurements in Chinese lake sediments. The data were sampled and analyzed between 2014 and 2018, with spatial coverage across three regions of China: Eastern, Northern, and Western China. The dataset is stored in an Excel spreadsheet file containing three worksheets corresponding to the three regions. Each worksheet holds PAH measurement data for its respective region, and includes the following fields: lake name, lake code, sampling time, sediment core sampling point number, sample number, top depth of the segmented layer, bottom depth of the segmented layer, Naphthalene, Acenaphthene, Acenaphthylene, Fluorene, Phenanthrene, Anthracene, Fluoranthene, Pyrene, Benzo[a]anthracene, Chrysene, Benzo[b]fluoranthene, Benzo[k]fluoranthene, Benzo[a]pyrene, Indeno[1,2,3-cd]pyrene, Dibenzo[a,h]anthracene, and Benzo[ghi]perylene.
