Survey of Work History, 1981 [Canada] : Jobs File

Survey of Work History, 1981 attempts to answer the following: how many employees, working less than 120 hours per month, would prefer to work more hours, and what are the main reasons preventing them from doing so; among those who changed employers, is there any pattern to the type of industry or occupation change; do wage rates of full-time and part-time workers vary significantly; are people in a particular age group more or less likely to change employers during the year than those in another age group; to what extent do part-time workers contribute to the total family income? This survey was replaced by the Labour Market Activity Survey (Statistics Canada).
