Study on the processing technology of Moso bamboo

The texture, hardness and bending strength properties of the bamboo skin and bamboo cavity layer will be tested in this study. All results will be considered when advanced processing of crafts are made. This study intend to explore a standard processing procedure of making the bamboo skin and bamboo cavity layer combined with quality and efficiency, and afford the best bamboo material to craftsman. We try to make some fine crafts by the bamboo skin and bamboo cavity layer, and transfer these techniques to the bamboo industry. We anticipate that these efforts will make the promotion of the added value of bamboo products and financial income of bamboo farmer.

本研究将对竹青层（bamboo skin）与竹腔层（bamboo cavity layer）的纹理、硬度及弯曲强度性能开展测试。所得全部测试结果将为竹制工艺品的精深加工提供参考依据。本研究旨在探索兼顾质量与效率的竹青层与竹腔层标准化加工工艺，为竹艺工匠提供优质竹材。本研究尝试利用竹青层与竹腔层制作精美竹制工艺品，并将相关工艺技术推广至竹产业领域。我们预期上述研究工作将有助于提升竹制产品的附加值，并增加竹农的经济收入。
