Population time series for US insect pests

This data set contains time series for 90 forest and agricultural pests. Data are compiled from a combination of published literature, open-access data repositories, state agencies, and USDA Forest Service aerial surveys; all time series are based on publicly available data or are shared with permission of the originator. Time series may be records of abundance, e.g. from trapping programs, or damage indices, e.g. area defoliated or otherwise damaged. Time series are contained in the PestTimeseries file, and a variety of information about each time series are in the PestDatabaseIndex file.

本数据集涵盖90种森林与农业害虫的时间序列数据。数据整合自已发表学术文献、开放获取数据仓储、州级行政机构以及美国农业部森林服务局（USDA Forest Service）的航空普查结果；所有时间序列数据均基于公开可用数据源，或经数据原创者授权后方可使用。此类时间序列可记录害虫种群丰度（例如源自诱捕监测项目的观测数据），亦可记录危害指数（例如受落叶侵害的区域面积或其他受害区域面积）。所有时间序列数据均存储于PestTimeseries文件中，各时间序列的配套元信息则收录于PestDatabaseIndex文件内。
