Symbiotic seed germination plays a vital role in orchid conservation, yet the molecular mechanisms governing early-stage host-fungal interactions remain largely unexplored. This study employs transcriptomic profiling of Gymnadenia conopsea during the initial symbiotic germination phase to characterize dynamic gene expression patterns and elucidate interaction mechanisms between the orchid host and its associated mycorrhizal fungi. By resolving spatiotemporal transcriptional reprogramming during this critical developmental window, the project aims to identify key signaling molecules and regulatory networks underlying symbiotic establishment. The generated data will address fundamental knowledge gaps in orchid-fungal mutualism while providing potential molecular targets for improving artificial propagation strategies in endangered orchid species.
