Cruise Results : 07/25/2011-9/29/2011, Bottom Longline Survey, coastal sharks - red snapper, NOAA Ship Oregon II, Cruise R2 11-04 (296)

Survey operations were conducted in the western North Atlantic Ocean along the U.S. Gulf of Mexico coast (Figure 1 ). OBJECTIVES 1) Conduct a study to assess the distribution and abundance of coastal sharks, red snapper (Lutjanus campechanus) and grouper. 2) Collect biological and environmental data with a conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensor at survey sites. 3) Tag and release sharks.

本调查作业于北大西洋西部美国墨西哥湾沿岸海域开展（图1）。
调查目标：
1. 开展研究以评估沿海鲨鱼、红笛鲷（Lutjanus campechanus）及石斑鱼的分布与种群丰度。
2. 在各调查站点利用温盐深（conductivity-temperature-depth, CTD）传感器采集生物学与环境数据。
3. 对鲨鱼进行标记并放流。
