Forest recovery is expanding globally, inevitably leading to changes in the biogeochemical cycling. Soil microbes play a crucial role in the soil carbon (C) cycle and are considered a rate-limiting factor in C decomposition. However, the evolutionary patterns of microbial community composition during forest recovery, and how changes in microbial community composition drive soil respiration, remain unknown. This study selected natural secondary forest sequences with different restoration times (20, 32, 47, and 61 years) after clear-cutting, as well as an undisturbed primary forest (PF) as the research subjects. The aim is to evaluate the evolutionary patterns and driving mechanisms of microbial community composition and soil respiration during forest restoration processes.

全球森林恢复进程持续扩张,不可避免地引发生物地球化学循环发生改变。土壤微生物在土壤碳(C)循环中发挥核心调控作用,被视作碳分解过程的速率限制因子。然而,森林恢复过程中微生物群落组成的演化模式,以及微生物群落组成变化驱动土壤呼吸的潜在机制,目前仍未明确。本研究选取皆伐后不同恢复年限(20、32、47及61年)的天然次生林序列,并以未受干扰的原始林(PF)作为研究对象,旨在解析森林恢复进程中微生物群落组成与土壤呼吸的演化模式及其驱动机制。
