When do UK mobile gamers play?

With the widespread use of smartphones today, mobile gaming in the United Kingdom is on the rise. In 2019 more than 60 percent of smartphone users played mobile games while relaxing at home. Additionally, 31 percent did so while watching television, with a slightly smaller percentage doing the same around bedtime or on their daily commute. Only a very small number of respondents admitted to gaming while at work or university, or during mealtimes and social activities. Mobile platforms have led to the rise of casual gaming, with users mainly using their phones to wind down at the end of the day or to alleviate boredom in day to day life.
