We looked back at 271 stroke patients at our hospital to see if there were any differences between men and women. We found that women were generally older and had more disability before their stroke. Younger women (aged 31–60) tended to have more severe strokes than men in the same age group. Overall, recovery after stroke was pretty similar for both sexes, but women were a bit more likely to be considered for early palliative care. Our results suggest it’s important to keep sex differences in mind when treating stroke patients

本研究回顾性分析了本院271名脑卒中（stroke）患者，旨在探究不同性别患者间的临床差异。研究结果显示，女性患者整体年龄更高，且卒中前的残疾程度更为显著。年龄介于31至60岁的年轻女性患者，相较于同年龄段的男性患者，更易出现病情更为严重的脑卒中发作。整体而言，两性患者的卒中后康复效果较为相近，但女性患者被纳入早期姑息治疗（early palliative care）的概率略高。本研究结果提示，在脑卒中患者的临床诊疗过程中，应充分重视性别差异的影响。
