A growing body of evidence suggests that higher dispositional mindfulness is associated with lower levels of bullying. While self-control and empathy have been identified as potential mediators, findings on empathy remain inconsistent. Recent studies further highlight awe as a protective factor, yet its role in the dispositional mindfulness-bullying relationship is unexplored. Understanding the underlying psychological mechanisms between dispositional mindfulness and bullying holds important theoretical and practical implications. This study aims to examine the roles of awe, self-control, and empathy in the relationship between dispositional mindfulness and bullying. Two competing models were constructed: Model 1 included empathy, whereas Model 2 did not. A study was conducted on 1141 secondary school students in China. Data were collected using the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale-Children, Revised Adolescent Peer Relationship Instrument-Bully and Target,the awe subscale of the Dispositional Positive Emotion Scales, Self-Control Scale, and Basic Empathy Scale. The study revealed a significant negative correlation between dispositional mindfulness and bullying. Both awe and self-control served as independent mediators and jointly formed a sequential mediation pathway. However, the association between dispositional mindfulness and empathy was nonsignificant. Possible reasons for this nonsignificant relationship were discussed. The findings supported Model 2. The research results have important implications based on the effect of dispositional mindfulness on bullying.<br>
越来越多的研究证据表明,较高的特质正念(dispositional mindfulness)与更低的欺凌行为(bullying)发生水平呈显著相关。尽管自我控制(self-control)与共情(empathy)已被识别为潜在的中介变量(mediator),但有关共情的研究结论仍存在不一致性。近期研究进一步指出,敬畏感(awe)是一种保护因子(protective factor),但目前尚未有研究探讨其在特质正念与欺凌行为关系中的作用。厘清特质正念与欺凌行为之间的潜在心理机制,具有重要的理论与实践价值。本研究旨在探究敬畏感、自我控制与共情在特质正念与欺凌行为关系中的作用机制。本研究构建了两个竞争性模型:模型1纳入共情变量,模型2则未纳入该变量。研究以中国1141名中学生为被试,采用以下工具收集数据:儿童版正念注意觉知量表(Mindful Attention Awareness Scale-Children)、修订版青少年同伴关系量表-欺凌与受欺凌维度(Revised Adolescent Peer Relationship Instrument-Bully and Target)、特质积极情绪量表(Dispositional Positive Emotion Scales)敬畏感分量表、自我控制量表(Self-Control Scale)以及基本共情量表(Basic Empathy Scale)。研究结果显示,特质正念与欺凌行为之间存在显著负相关。敬畏感与自我控制均发挥独立中介作用,并共同构成一条序列中介路径。但特质正念与共情之间的关联并不显著。本研究对该无显著关联的可能原因进行了探讨。研究结果支持模型2。本研究结果针对特质正念对欺凌行为的影响效应,具有重要的理论与实践启示。
