These data are part of the thesis entitled "Carbon fluxes and processing around Hong Kong urbanized mangroves from Laetitia Allais. This study aimed to characterized mangrove carbon burial across mangroves of Hong Kong particularly in regard to the strong environmental gradients between eastern and western coastlines. The diversity of the microbial communities was also addressed in regard to environmental variations. Finally active and passive DNA were looked at to precisely explain what part of the microbial community was playing a active key role in the biogeochemical processes linked to carbon sequestration.The data were extracted from samples collected in four different mangroves across Hong Kong: Mai Po, Tung Chung, Ting Kok, and To Kwa PengData found in CNS_isotope_data, Porewater_data, and Soil_characteristics_data are data from the published article:Allais, L., Thibodeau, B., Khan, N.S., Crowe, S.A., Cannicci, S. and Not, C., 2023.
