Soundscape and Peale's dolphins. Chaihuin, Chile, September 2023.
收藏资源简介:
Audio files recorded in the South-East Pacific, south of Valdivia, at the beach of Chaihuin, Region de los Ríos, Chile, from Sep, 21st, 2023 to Sep, 24th 2023 (UTC). GPS position is ( -39,954680° ; -73,604021°). Two instruments were installed. One is QHB Recorder from Smiot, Université de Toulon, set with sample rate of 512 KHz, sampling depth of 16 bits, two channels with respectively a C57 and a C55 hydrophone from Cetacean Research. This instrument was set on the ground at 17 m depth. The other is a Soundtrap ST 300 HF (Ocean Instruments), set with a sample rate of 384 KHz, 16 bits, one channel, suspended 7 m above (thus being 10 m below the surface). The whole dataset, too large to be included in Zenodo repository, can be found on the following adress : https://sabiod.lis-lab.fr/pub/CHILI/CHAIHUIN_2023/ Here we present a subset with the four files, for each instrument, with most dolphins clicks (Narrow Band High Frequency). The visual follow up shows that the cetaceans are Peale’s dolphins (Cephalorhynchus australis).
