Mixed Reality Heritage Performance Interview transcripts

The work introduces and discusses an innovative application of Mixed Reality (MR) in cultural heritage, specifically by fusing see-through Augmented Reality (AR) smart glasses with live theatre to create what we term a Mixed Reality Heritage Performance (MRHP). This work is set within the context of a growing interest in using immersive technologies like MR to create engaging, educational, and transformative experiences at cultural heritage sites. By prototyping two MRHPs under the context of and as a tool for decolonisation, the work also addresses the niche research field of developing design methodologies and technological systems for creating socially impactful MR projects

本研究介绍并探讨了混合现实（Mixed Reality, MR）在文化遗产领域的创新性应用：具体而言，是将透视型增强现实（Augmented Reality, AR）智能眼镜与实景剧场相融合，构建出我们所定义的混合现实遗产展演（Mixed Reality Heritage Performance, MRHP）这一全新形式。当前，学界愈发关注利用混合现实等沉浸式技术在文化遗产场所打造兼具吸引力、教育价值与变革性的体验，本研究正是立足这一背景展开的。本研究以去殖民化为研究语境，并将其作为研究工具，完成了两项混合现实遗产展演的原型开发；同时，本研究还针对开发用于构建具有社会影响力的混合现实项目的设计方法论与技术系统这一细分研究领域开展了相关探索。
