In order to evaluate response to anti-TNF treatment mcj deficient mice were administered 2% of DSS ad libitum in drinking water for 6 days, followed by three days of recovery period. Then, mice were divided into two groups per genotype, receiving only one intraperitoneal administration of Inflectra (7.5 mg/kg), a Infliximab biosimilar (IFX+) proven to be effective for induction and maintenance of remission in moderate to severe UC. The mouse/human chimeric monoclonal IgG1 antibody to TNF, was provided from day 3 to 6 during DSS administration while the second group received saline solution (IFX-). Colon samples were collected at the end of the experimental period (day 9).
