The O. granulata complex of wild rice consists of two relative species, Oryza granulata and Oryza meyeriana. They grow on the slope of mountains with no standing water. The one whose seed is larger than 6.4mm is classified as O. granulata, and the one whose seed is smaller than 6.4mm is classified as O. meyeriana, but the relationship is not clear since the variation is continuous. In order to obtain genome sequence information of them, we sequenced a total of five O. meyeriana accessions by Illumina HiSeq 2500.
野生稻颗粒稻复合群(O. granulata complex)包含两个近缘物种:颗粒野生稻(Oryza granulata)与迈耶野生稻(Oryza meyeriana)。二者均栖息于无积水的山地斜坡生境中。此前研究以种子长度作为分类判定标准:种子长度大于6.4mm的类群被归为颗粒野生稻,小于6.4mm的类群则归为迈耶野生稻,但由于该性状的变异呈连续分布,二者的分类学关系仍未明确。为获取二者的基因组序列信息,本研究采用Illumina HiSeq 2500测序平台,对共计5份迈耶野生稻种质材料进行了全基因组测序。
