The complete chloroplast genome of Salsola pellucida Litv.

Salsola pellucida belongs to the genus Salsola of the family Amaranthaceae and is found mainly in central and southwest Asia, North Africa, and the Mediterranean. A comprehensive taxonomic revision of the genus is still lacking. We want get the complete chloroplast genome of Salsola pellucida , which will lay a good foundation for future phylogenetic and taxonomic studies of the genus Salsola. This investigation delineates the phylogenetic positioning of S. pellucida at the chloroplast genome-wide level, providing novel insights into the genus Salsola.
