Gayageum pluck acoustics: per-pluck features
收藏资源简介:
# Gayageum pluck acoustics: per-pluck features It contains the acoustic features measured for each pluck and each ornament technique. ## Source recordings The recordings are not included. They are available from the Digital Instrument Sound Archive of the National Gugak Center, Republic of Korea (https://www.gugak.go.kr/digitaleum/), under the Korea Open Government License Type 1. The features were computed from the uncompressed WAV files of that archive. - Single-note set: 42 notes (E♭2–A♭5), each played soft, medium and loud by one performer (Yoon Dayoung). 126 plucks.- Instrument comparison: scale passes on a jeongak, a sanjo and a 25-string gayageum.- Ornaments: demonstrations of 17 ornament techniques (sigimsae) on the three instruments. ## Files | File | Content ||---|---|| `data/single_note_plucks.csv` | One row per pluck of the single-note set (126 rows) || `data/instrument_scale_notes.csv` | One row per detected note of the scale passes (171 rows). The column `used_in_comparison` marks the 98 notes used in the article || `data/ornament_summary.csv` | One row per ornament technique and instrument (17 rows) || `data/data_dictionary.csv` | Column names, units and definitions | Empty cells are missing values. A value is missing when the corresponding fit failed. Note names use `b` for flat (for example, `Eb2`). Dynamics are `soft`, `medium` and `loud`. Analysis settings are given in Appendix A of the article. The soft scale passes of the sanjo and 25-string instruments were very quiet, and the onset detector accepted many low-level noise events. Only the medium and loud passes are therefore used in the article. One re-trigger in the medium 25-string pass (peak level below −40 dBFS) is also excluded. All rows are kept so that the exclusion can be checked. ## Licence Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
