This dataset is an annual maximum Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI) composite product for China covering the period from 2000 to 2024, generated using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) data, with a spatial resolution of 250 meters. It utilizes surface reflectance data that has been subjected to radiometric calibration and atmospheric correction, and employs the maximum value composite (MVC) algorithm to effectively mitigate noise interference from factors including clouds, atmospheric disturbances, and solar elevation angles. This process produces EVI data that optimally represents the vegetation status during the peak growth period of each year.
