This dataset determines member tiers by analyzing the consumption amount, purchase frequency, and purchase interval of members at the Qingliuzhong Road Store of Jiuzhou Pharmacy. It can be applied not only to store member classification management, personalized precision marketing, and the formulation of service optimization strategies, but also to enterprises and institutions in the pharmaceutical industry that need to analyze consumer behavior patterns and consumption capabilities, including similar pharmaceutical e-commerce and retail enterprises, health management and consulting service organizations, pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing enterprises, financial institutions, and insurance companies, etc.
1. Data Source
Data including member information, consumption time, and consumption amount were collected from the Qingliuzhong Road Store of Jiuzhou Pharmacy in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
2. Data Processing
Based on the collected data, the consumption-related metrics of members at this store within a one-year statistical cycle are analyzed: total consumption amount (cumulative total expenditure of each member during the statistical cycle), number of purchases (member purchase frequency), and purchase interval (the time gap between consecutive purchases to assess member activity). Five member tiers are established based on the above parameters:
- Core Members: Members with total consumption amount ≥ a1, number of purchases ≥ b1, and purchase interval ≤ c1, who contribute the most to the store;
- General Members: Members with a2 ≤ total consumption amount < a1, b2 ≤ number of purchases < b1, and c1 < purchase interval ≤ c2, who maintain a stable consumption frequency and amount and constitute a stable customer base;
- Mildly Dormant Members: Members with a3 ≤ total consumption amount < a2, b3 ≤ number of purchases < b2, and c2 < purchase interval ≤ c3, whose consumption frequency has declined but still make occasional purchases;
- Moderately Dormant Members: Members with a3 ≤ total consumption amount < a2, b3 ≤ number of purchases < b2, and c2 < purchase interval ≤ c3, who have an extended purchase interval and a significant reduction in purchase frequency;
- Deeply Dormant Members: Members with 0 ≤ total consumption amount < a3, number of purchases < b3, and c3 < purchase interval ≤ 12, who have not made any consumption for a long time and are nearly inactive;
- Severely Dormant Members: Members with total consumption amount of 0 yuan, number of purchases of 0, and purchase interval > 12, who are even less active than deeply dormant members and require targeted reactivation strategies;
