叶面积指数(LeafAreaIndex,LAI)表示单位土地面积上植物叶片总面积占土地面积的倍数。本数据集为体现植被结构的中国区域叶面积指数数据集，为8天合成LAI数据，数据时间为1999年1月-1999年12月。
文件名：LAI.A1999001.china.tif为1999年第1天至第8天LAI合成数据。
Leaf Area Index (LAI) is defined as the multiple of total plant leaf area per unit land area relative to the land area itself.
This dataset is a China-region LAI dataset that characterizes vegetation structure, consisting of 8-day composite LAI data covering the period from January 1999 to December 1999.
