本数据集采用人HOS细胞系（Human HOS cell line）作为实验材料，经β-甘油磷酸（beta-glycerophosphate，BGP）处理诱导分化后，使用Illumina表达微阵列（HumanHT12_V4）对其基因表达谱进行检测分析。实验设置3个阴性对照重复样本与3个经BGP处理3天的重复样本。
