Temperature profile and water depth data were collected using BT and XBT casts from the USCGC NORTHLAND in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and TOGA Area - Atlantic Ocean. Data were collected from 04 May 1987 to 20 June 1987 by the US Navy; Ships Of Opportunity (SOOP).

本数据集涵盖温度剖面与水深数据，采用搭载于美国海岸警卫队“诺斯兰”号（USCGC NORTHLAND）的BT（Bathythermograph，温深仪）与XBT（Expendable Bathythermograph，投弃式温深仪）投放观测方式采集，观测海域覆盖西北大西洋、加勒比海以及TOGA区域-大西洋。本次数据采集工作于1987年5月4日至1987年6月20日期间开展，由美国海军志愿观测船（Ships Of Opportunity, SOOP）执行。
