Research Data for "Beyond Gender Barriers: Spatial and Governance-Scale Differences in Women's Local Political Participation in Türkiye

This repository contains the qualitative research materials developed for the study entitled: Beyond Gender Barriers: Spatial and Governance-Scale Differences in Women's Local Political Participation in Türkiye The repository has been prepared to enhance the transparency, reproducibility, and methodological rigor of the qualitative research process. The dataset includes: a detailed qualitative codebook, code frequency tables, the MAXQDA project structure, documentation describing the coding framework. The study is based on semi-structured interviews conducted with 25 women residing in Kastamonu Province, Türkiye, who intended to participate in local political processes or seek local elected office. Interview transcripts are not included in order to protect participant confidentiality and comply with ethical obligations. The qualitative analysis was conducted using MAXQDA through directed qualitative content analysis and thematic coding.
