苗族纹样是苗族文化的重要载体，类型丰富，涵盖动物、植物、几何等多种。动物纹样中，蝴蝶纹与 “蝴蝶妈妈” 传说相关，象征生命创造；龙纹、鸟纹则寄托着对吉祥、自由的向往。植物纹样里，枫叶纹、花卉纹体现对自然的热爱与美好寓意。几何纹样如十字纹、菱形纹、漩涡纹，蕴含着对天地、生命的认知。这些纹样造型夸张、色彩鲜艳，每一款都承载着独特的文化内涵和苗族人民的情感寄托。

Miao patterns are important carriers of Miao culture, with rich categories covering animals, plants, geometry and other types. Among animal patterns, the butterfly pattern is related to the legend of "Mother Butterfly", symbolizing the creation of life; while dragon patterns and bird patterns convey the aspiration for auspiciousness and freedom. In plant patterns, maple leaf patterns and flower patterns embody the love for nature and auspicious implications. Geometric patterns such as cross patterns, diamond patterns and swirl patterns convey the understanding of heaven, earth and life. These patterns have exaggerated shapes and vibrant colors, and each one carries unique cultural connotations and the emotional sustenance of the Miao people.
