VPRS 12156 District Files

The Division of State Development (VA 2717) was concerned with the regional development of the State and with decentralisation of industry. The records in this series concern specific districts being major towns and municipalities including suburbs of Melbourne. Files were also created for major business enterprises located in rural Victoria.These files contain correspondence and reports regarding the district, press cuttings relating to development and decentralisation and drafts of speeches to be made to organisations within the district.
