Investigation and diagnosis of Pests on old trees in Taiwan

Most protective old trees in Taiwan County were investigated for diseases and insect damages. The pathogens were identified by fruiting bodies and cultural characteristics. The insect damages were based on the presence of insects and other relative signs. The most popular disease is brown root rot caused by phellinus noxius.

本研究针对台湾县（Taiwan County）内多数受保护古树开展病害与虫害调查。病原菌通过子实体形态与培养特征完成鉴定；虫害状况则依据虫体存在情况及其他相关征状进行判定。该区域最为常见的病害为由有害木层孔菌（Phellinus noxius）引发的褐根病。
