Avian gastrointestinal microbiota Raw sequence reads

GI lumen contents were sampled at multiple locations from 6 animals in each of 4 treatment groups; crop, gizzard, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, and cecum samples from 28 day old birds receiving one of two diets, with or without a probiotic treatment. The goal of the study was to determine where and how the probiotic and diet changes affected microbial composition, and to improve general knowledge of the microbiome along the length of the chicken GI system. 151x2 PE reads from Illumina MiSeq.
