VPRS 19563 Ladies' Auxiliary Minute Books

This series consists of minutes books which record minutes of the Dandenong and District Hospital (VA 1246) Ladies' Auxiliary. The Constitution of the Auxiliary stated that the objective of the Auxiliary was to raise funds to assist the Dandenong and District Hospital Committee. The inaugural meeting of the Dandenong and District Hospital Ladies' Auxiliary was held on 15th February, 1961, which is when the series begins. There was an annual subscription for members. The Auxiliary was to meet every month. Dandenong Hospital, among other hospitals, were dependent on charitable financial support. The minutes in this series reflect the many and varied fund raising activities.
