Public Wi-Fi Access Logs Dataset from Real-Time Crowd Monitoring System in Sri Chiang Mai Smart City

This project presents a real-time crowd monitoring dataset based on Sri Chiang Mai Smart City's public Wi-Fi infrastructure. Sri Chiang Mai's municipal government installed nine access points from which to collect the dataset. From May 2022 to December 2023, data was collected at one-minute intervals. This information was gathered in order to develop a real-time crowd monitoring application that would provide locals and tourists with information on crowd density at each location. This information can help individuals plan their travels and aid the municipal government in making informed decisions regarding the improvement of infrastructure and the enhancement of the quality of life in a smart city.

本项目基于斯里清迈智慧城市的公共Wi-Fi基础设施，构建了一套实时人群监测数据集。斯里清迈市政府部署了9个无线接入点（Access Point）用于该数据集的采集。数据集采集周期为2022年5月至2023年12月，采集间隔为1分钟。本次数据采集旨在开发一款实时人群监测应用，为当地居民与游客提供各监测点位的人群密度信息。该数据集可辅助民众规划出行行程，同时帮助市政当局制定科学决策，以优化智慧城市的基础设施建设并提升居民生活品质。
