VPRS 12438 Ledger for Gippsland (Road and Bridges Branch)

From 1877, the responsibility for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges was assumed by the Roads and Bridges Branch of the Department of Public Works (VA 669) of the Board of Land and Works (VA 744).This series consists of records maintained regarding road construction and maintenance in East Gippsland. Included are records relating to the details of contracts and payments made to contractors and payments to municipalities.This series was formerly registered as Units 24 and 25 of VPRS 1143 Ledger.
