Study 2: Field Questionnaire Survey Dataset (AI Emotional Support and Employees’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior)

This dataset is the field questionnaire survey data of Study 2, adopting a three-wave, multi-source, and supervisor-employee paired design. Data were collected from January to March 2026 in three high-tech enterprises in China that have deployed generative AI, with the spatial scope covering fixed office scenarios and a temporal resolution of one-month intervals for three-wave tracking (T1, T2, T3). At Time 1, employees rated their AI emotional support, agreeableness, and demographic information; 500 questionnaires were distributed and 458 were retrieved. At Time 2, employees rated their psychological resources and reciprocity motivation, with 405 valid responses. At Time 3, direct supervisors rated employees’ organizational citizenship behavior. After excluding invalid questionnaires, matching cross-time data, and rigorous cleaning, 350 valid paired samples and 350 data records were finally obtained.Data were collected via office computers, mobile devices, and a combination of paper and online questionnaires. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 26.0, AMOS 24.0, and the PROCESS macro. The dataset includes control variables (gender, age, education, work tenure) and core variables (AI emotional support, psychological resources, reciprocity motivation, agreeableness, organizational citizenship behavior). All variables were measured on a 5-point Likert scale with no physical units.The cleaned dataset has no missing values, with 100% variable integrity. Errors mainly derive from self-rating bias and cross-wave matching differences, which are within the acceptable range for management empirical research. Data files are stored in standard Excel and SPSS formats, compatible with common statistical software including SPSS, AMOS, Stata, R, and Excel.
