Diagnosis and Care Pathways for Acute Chest Pain

Acute chest pain is a common reason for medical contact, timely management is critical to exclude serious conditions, but current care pathways are expensive and result in significant burden to health systems. This PhD thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the current status of chest pain care, including a detailed exploration of chest pain epidemiology, care quality and outcomes, and offers a range of potential solutions to improve care pathways for health services and patients targeted at several different components of the chest pain care journey.
