The goal of the study is to assess the effects of monocolonization of an engineered demethylating gut microbe towards fetal brain transcriptome in a gestational dietary MeHg exposure murine model. Pregnant mice, monoassociated with engineered or wild-type strain, were subjected to either MeHg-rich (125 ng Hg/g diet; bluefin tuna based), MeHg-modest (2.4 ng Hg/g diet; salmon based), or standard (casein based) diet during pregnancy.
