资源简介:
This video showcases the active participation phase of a piano pedagogical intervention focused on coordinated movement training. Moving beyond passive instruction, the footage captures a student’s self-directed exploration of rotational movement exercises. Central to this demonstration is a personalised playing warm-up routine—an extended scale variation integrated into the student’s daily practice—which also illustrates how foundational rotation drills can be progressively expanded for technical development and maintenance.Through verbal reflection, the student emphasises creative flexibility, demonstrating that personalising an exercise reinforces the focus on movement patterns. The evolution of a foundational “in-class” drill into a student-led innovation highlights the pedagogical value of incorporating student agency into lesson design. As a testament to the motivational and learning benefits of the approach, seeing individual input reflected in instructional tools fosters deeper engagement, ownership, and technical consolidation. This video forms part of a broader research project investigating the development of coordinated movement in piano performance, with applications in piano pedagogy, injury prevention, and performance enhancement.
