The FREP database contains 31 396 RepeatMasker-identified non-redundant variant repeat sequences derived from 16,527 mouse cDNAs with protein-coding potential.FREP is a unique resource for illuminating the role of transposons and repetitive sequences in shaping the coding part of the mouse transcriptome and for selecting the appropriate experimental model to study diseases with suspected repeat etiology contributions.
FREP数据库包含31,396条经RepeatMasker鉴定得到的非冗余变异重复序列，这些序列源自16,527条具备蛋白质编码潜能的小鼠互补DNA（complementary DNA，cDNA）。FREP是一项独特的研究资源，可用于阐明转座子（transposons）与重复序列在塑造小鼠转录组编码区域过程中所发挥的作用，同时可用于筛选合适的实验模型，以研究疑似存在重复序列病因学贡献的疾病。
