Comparison of dGY and SIVmac239, total PMBC

Infection of pigtail macaques (PTM) with an SIVmac239 variant (termed dGY) containing a two amino acid deletion from a highly conserved GYxxO trafficking signal in the envelope glycoprotein cytoplasmic domain leads to elite viral control in nearly all infected animals. Acute dGY infection induces robust antiviral CD8 and CD4 responses, in the absence of neutralizing antibodies, detectable in both blood and gastrointestinal tissues that were maintained during dGY control. This experiment is bulk mRNA-seq on longitudinal PBMC in which PTM were infected with either dGY or wild-type SIVmac239 (n=5 per group).
