Flanged reinforced concrete (RC) squat walls are widely used in conventional buildings and nuclear facilities, due to their capabilities of meeting certain architecture demands and providing significant lateral strength and stiffness in both principle directions. Despites their popularities and advantages, understanding for these walls are still limited, due to the complexities brought by the non-rectangular cross-section shaped and the relatively small shear span ratio. Moreover, current building codes are mainly developed for rectangular slender walls, which exhibit significant scatters in predicting peak shear strength of effective stiffness to these walls. To facilitate future investigations, a database containing comprehensive information about 152 flanged RC squat walls is presented in this project. Researchers are encouraged to continuously upgrade this database.

带翼缘钢筋混凝土(RC)矮墙因其能够满足特定建筑需求,并在两个主方向上提供显著的侧向强度(lateral strength)和刚度(stiffness),被广泛应用于常规建筑和核设施中。尽管其应用广泛且优势显著,但由于非矩形截面(non-rectangular cross-section)形状和相对较小的剪跨比(shear span ratio)带来的复杂性,人们对这类墙体的认知仍较为有限。此外,现行建筑规范主要针对矩形细长墙(rectangular slender walls)制定,在预测这类墙体的峰值剪切强度(peak shear strength)或有效刚度(effective stiffness)时存在显著偏差。为促进后续研究,本项目构建了一个包含152个带翼缘RC矮墙综合信息的数据库。鼓励研究人员持续更新该数据库。
