52nd Arctic Workshop (AWS) Program and Abstracts, 2024 (University of Massachusetts Amherst)

The annual Arctic Workshop (now in this 52nd year) is a key scientific forum that has demonstrated its value by attracting scientists from around the world to its annual forum. The format is informal and especially encourages young research scientists to participate. They may be just embarking on a graduate career or be more experienced—the opportunities to talk and learn in a low stress meeting has proven to be a winning formula over the years. Participation in a focused scientific meeting, by giving an oral or poster presentation provides an opportunity for young scientists to gain confidence, learn from their peers and establish a network of contacts that will have lasting benefits in their careers. The Arctic Workshop is broadly interdisciplinary, enabling participants to step outside their immediate area of research and learn about other research being conducted in the Arctic.
