Thymallus thymallus Raw sequence reads

We sequenced the embryonic methylomes of 26 European grayling individuals with low-coverage whole-genome bisulphite sequencing. The samples originated from a common-garden experiment with five colder- or warmer-thermal origin populations reared in colder or warmer temperatures. The resulting reads were mapped against a chromosome-level genome assembly and methylation levels at CpG loci were estimated in order to gain insights into the CpG methylation changes associated with thermal origin (evolutive response) or developmental termperature (plastic response) in the study system. The results are relevant because of the need to understand the consequences of the human-induced climate change.
