A controlled release experiment was conducted near the entrence of the Merced Vernal Pools and Grassland Reserve at the University of California, Merced campus. A point source emission was simulated at a controlled rate and subsequent flights with a small unmanned aircraft system were conducted to localize and quantify the source. ## Description of the data and file structure
This data set describes the measurements taken from an open-path laser spectrometer on board a small unmanned aircraft system during a methane-controlled release test over a two-day period. The wind speed and wind direction measurements are from a RMYoung anemometer located near the emission release location.Â

There were 27 flights that took place over the two-day period that consisted of mass balance and general detection flights. The source rates varied from 0.2 to 25 SCFH. The descriptions of the flights are listed below:

## 数据与文件结构说明
本数据集记录了为期两天的甲烷受控释放试验期间,搭载于小型无人航空系统的开放式光路激光光谱仪(open-path laser spectrometer)所采集的测量数据。风速与风向测量数据来自布设于排放源附近的RMYoung风速计。

本次试验为期两天,共开展27次飞行任务,涵盖质量平衡飞行与常规探测飞行两类。排放源速率范围为0.2至25标准立方英尺每小时(Standard Cubic Feet per Hour,SCFH)。各飞行任务的详细说明如下:
