The genus Streptomyces is known for its ability to produce compounds with various bioactivities and for its complex morphology. Streptomyces sp. 139 is the producer strain of an exopolysaccharide Ebosin, which has remarkable in vivo antirheumatic arthritis activity. Here we report its draft genome sequence, which will facilitate the study of the biosynthesis of Ebosin.
