This dataset accompanies the following publication.<br><b>Mukha, T., Johannson, M., Liefvendahl, M. Effect of wall-stress model and mesh-cell topology on the predictive accuracy of LES of turbulent boundary layer flows. In ECCM-ECFD 2018, Glasgow, UK.</b><br>The dataset consists of simulation data and the two computational meshes the simulations employ.<br>The data is located in the data.zip file. It contains the "VTK" folder that holds full 2D fields of the unknowns, averaged in the spanwise direction. The format is multi-block VTK data, that can be natively read with such software as Paraview and turbulucid.Additionally, several computed quantities are provided as text files. This includes, the skin friction coefficient, the wall shear stress and others. The naming convenction is that Paved and Poly corresponds to data from simulations on the paved and polyhedral grids, respectively. And 1st and 3rd refers to the location of the sampling point of the WMLES mesh.<br><br>The meshes.tar file contains the two meshes -- paved and polyhedral -- which are stored in OpenFOAM format.<br><br>For more information about the simulations, refer to the article. 本数据集配套如下发表论文:<br><b>Mukha T, Johannson M, Liefvendahl M. 壁面应力模型与网格单元拓扑结构对湍流边界层流动大涡模拟(Large Eddy Simulation, LES)预测精度的影响[C]//2018年欧洲计算力学与计算流体力学联合会议(ECCM-ECFD 2018),英国格拉斯哥.</b><br>本数据集包含仿真数据与仿真所用的两套计算网格。<br>数据存放于data.zip压缩包中,该压缩包内含VTK文件夹,其中存储了沿展向平均后的待求量全二维场数据。该数据采用多区块VTK格式,可被ParaView、turbulucid等软件原生读取。<br>此外,数据集还以文本文件形式提供了若干计算得到的物理量,包括表面摩擦系数、壁面切应力等。<br>命名规则如下:Paved与Poly分别对应铺装网格与多面体网格上的仿真数据;1st与3rd则指代壁面建模大涡模拟(Wall-Modeled Large Eddy Simulation, WMLES)网格的采样点位置。<br><br>meshes.tar压缩包内含两套网格——铺装网格与多面体网格,均以OpenFOAM格式存储。<br><br>如需了解仿真的更多细节,请参阅上述论文。若使用本数据集,请引用该论文。
