The effect of parent involvement-child behavioral management program among children with ADHD

This quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design aims to examine the effectiveness of the Parent Involvement-Child Behavioral Management Program (PICBMP) in reducing symptoms among ADHD children. Sixty-four children aged 6–12 years with ADHD were randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group by using a random number table, consisting of thirty-two participants in each group. The participants in the experimental group participated in the PICBMP and usual care with medication, while those in the control group received the usual care with medication. The PICBMP based on Behaviorally-based treatment (Goodman &Scott, 1997), consists of eight weeks of behavior management which included four-phase; needs assessment, behavior analysis, behavior modification, and evaluation. Standardized measures of Swanson, Nolan, and Pelham-IV (SNAP-IV) were applied to evaluate the ADHD symptoms (CVI=1.00, Cronbach’s alpha = .76) among parents before and after receiving either the PICBMP or usual care. 本研究采用准实验前测-后测对照组设计，旨在考察家长参与式儿童行为管理计划（Parent Involvement-Child Behavioral Management Program, PICBMP）对注意缺陷与多动障碍（Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD）儿童症状的改善效果。本研究通过随机数字表法，将64名6~12岁的ADHD儿童随机分为实验组与对照组，每组各32名参与者。实验组儿童接受PICBMP联合常规护理与药物治疗，对照组仅接受常规护理与药物治疗。基于行为疗法（Behaviorally-based treatment, Goodman & Scott, 1997）构建的PICBMP共包含8周的行为管理课程，分为四个阶段：需求评估、行为分析、行为矫正与效果评估。本研究采用斯万森-诺兰-佩尔汉姆量表第四版（Swanson, Nolan, and Pelham-IV, SNAP-IV）这一标准化测评工具，在干预前后分别由家长完成ADHD症状评估，该量表的内容效度指数（Content Validity Index, CVI）为1.00，克朗巴赫α系数为0.76。数据分析采用独立样本t检验与配对样本t检验，以p值作为显著性检验依据。
