NCRB Crime in India: harmonised State/UT panel of human trafficking, missing persons and police accountability statistics, 2017-2024

Machine-readable State/UT panel reconstructed from the eight official National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) Crime in India Volume III / Part III reports, reference years 2017-2024. Scope: Chapters 14, 15, 16A and 16B, covering human trafficking, missing and traced persons, deaths in police custody, and crimes and casualties involving police personnel. 63,843 cells across 19 table families and 312 entity-years, each cell traceable to its source PDF and page. Values are reproduced exactly as published: nothing is imputed, recomputed or corrected. Footnote marks recording the 2019 Jammu & Kashmir / Ladakh reorganisation and the 2020 Dadra & Nagar Haveli / Daman & Diu merger are preserved in dedicated columns. Extraction and assembly code is included. Independently verified: every State/UT row was re-extracted with a second PDF engine and 6,012 of 6,013 comparable rows reproduce identically; the single difference is a truncation by the comparison engine, not an error in the panel.
