The Paleoclimate Modelling Intercomparison Project (PMIP) is an international program that uses climate models to understand past climate changes and project future climate variations. Its third phase (PMIP3) further strengthened the collaboration with the Fifth International Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP5). This dataset uses the paleoclimate models from the PMIP3/CMIP5 programs to derive basic climate variables including air temperature, precipitation, and evaporation for the MH, PI, LIA, and MWP periods.
