*Diagnostic cutoff level determined using receiver operating characteristic curve analysis.**Patients with connective-tissue disorders were excluded from analysis.***Patients with a preoperative diagnosis of inflammatory arthritis were excluded from analysis.****Patients with a systemic disease or a condition that could result in an abnormal ESR or CRP, such as rheumatoid arthritis or other inflammatory arthritides, were excluded from analysis.*****Patients with a confounding factors that can elevate inflammatory markers (inflammatory disorders, collagen vascular disease, urinary tract infection, hepatitis, demyelinating neuropathy or malignancy), were excluded from analysis.
