Snow density (bulk density)

Snow bulk density is measured manually in various places in the Zackenberg valley, during snow covered periods. In this dataset every position is given with its UTM coordinates (WGS 84, UTM Zone 27N) and with the name of the location, where measurements are conducted in the vicinity of existing plots. The densities are never sampled within the existing plots (unless otherwise stated), but in a radius of at least 10 meters from the plot, in an area in which the conditions and characteristics of the snowpack are similar to the given plot. The positions of all the locations are given here in UTM coordiantes (WGS 84, UTM Zone 27N). In cases where total snow depth is missing, snow depth was larger than the measuring equipment, see remarks.

本数据集收录了积雪覆盖时段内，于扎肯博谷多处点位手动测得的雪体密度数据。每个采样点位均配有通用横轴墨卡托（UTM，Universal Transverse Mercator）坐标（WGS 84坐标系，UTM 27N分带）及点位名称，所有测量工作均在现有样地周边开展。除另有说明外，采样不会在现有样地内部进行，而是选取距离样地至少10米的半径范围内的区域，该区域的积雪条件与雪层特征需与对应样地保持一致。所有点位的坐标均以通用横轴墨卡托（UTM）坐标（WGS 84坐标系，UTM 27N分带）形式在此列出。若总雪深数据缺失，则代表雪深超出了测量设备的量程，具体情况详见备注。
