This data includes two turbulent boundary layers over a flat plate and eight turbulent boundary layers with local forcing. The turbulent boundary over a flat plate was measured at 1239 mm and 1295 mm from the leading edge. All the turbulent boundary layers with local forcing were measured at 1295 mm from the leading edge.All measurements were conducted at one free stream velocity of 5.5 m/s and at the Reynolds number of Reθ ≈ 1132 where θ was the momentum thickness of the turbulent boundary layer over a flat plate.The local forcing frequencies were 100, 150, 200, and 250 Hz, which equates to the non-dimensional frequencies of 0.025, 0.038, 0.050, and 0.063, respectively. The forcing amplitudes were 0.1 and 0.2 times the free stream velocity.This research was funded by the Australian Government's Research Training Program (RTP) and by the Australian Government through the Australian Research Council (ARC DP-200101961)This data was published in the work by Hoang et al.
